HINT: You CAN help

Taken from :iconsimeonleonard: make sure you donate to his page!

Kiki is a very sick little girl. Diagnosed with a brain tumor at six years old, it wasn't long before her parents were at their wits' and financial end. They took to the internet to appeal for help and found a champion in Tara Strong, the voice talent behind Twilight Sparkle from TV's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Tara enlisted her fanatical and irrationally generous throngs of Brony subjects to open their Rainbow Dash wallets (only $16.50 at Hot Topic!) and give to the fund for Kiki's recovery. So far, Bronies have given over $40,000 to Kiki's Treatment Fund alone, not counting donations from other fundraisers. But there is still a great need and her fundraising campaign only has until the end of this month to raise an additional $10,000 if they are to meet their goal.

So how can you help? I've seen requests for financial help on DA before for various causes, and people often say they'd love to help but they can't because they have no money or don't have a way to make payments online. If those aren't options for you either, let me ask this: do you have any DA points?

Here's the deal, and here's how you can help. My premium membership runs out in a few months and I want to extend it. If you'll send a point or two my way, I can use points to help renew my membership and give the money I would have spent on it to Kiki. For every DA  I get, I'll donate 1.25 - the monetary value of a DA   - to Kiki's Treatment Fund. I know it doesn't sound like much but if I get enough for a one year membership, that will add up to $30, and for a cause like this, I'm sure every bit helps.

Wait wait wait, aren't I just exploiting this poor girl's illness to get myself a new membership? I don't think so. For one thing, I've already donated more than the cost of a 12 month membership to Kiki's fund this year. I'm going to renew my membership either way. There is always going to be need out there and I can't be all things to all people. I just figure if people can help me by kicking in a few points, I can give the money I would have spent on a membership to Kiki instead.

So if you can afford it, if you have some extra points and want to help a good cause, if you think I've been a good community member and you're willing to help me renew my stay, please stop by my page and donate. Everyone who does will get a llama (if I haven't given you one already), a thanks from me, and maybe if you give a lot of points (like, over 100) I'll do something nice like draw you a quick picture or something, idk. Try me. Tip: donate before asking, then I'll have little choice but to submit to your fanciful whims. I'm willing to work for my membership, and for Kiki, but please be reasonable

Please note: If you decide to donate, please use the donate button on my profile instead of the drop down menu. I get the points either way, but if you don't use the "donate" button, the point you give won't be counted toward the goal, they'll just go into my account. Also, I post the icon of everyone who donates or spreads the word in this journal. Please note me if you DON'T want to be added to the list, for whatever reason.

No points, you say? You can still help! Would you be willing to fav this journal or make one of your own that links back? If you can help spread the word, that's just as big a help as donating!

And remember everypony, even if it's just one point, it helps. As Fluttershy found out: "sometimes you can feel like what you have to offer is too little to make a difference, but today I learned that everypony's contribution is important, no matter how small."

Also, if you have the means, please consider donating to Kiki directly: [link]
